April Recipe: Vegan & Grain Free Pizza

Spring is here: The perfect for a fun (healthy) pizza night with friends.  💃
On the menu this month: Rosemary & Sweet Potato Pizza w/ Arugula, Beets, & Tahini (Vegan & Grain Free)
-Roasted Beets (wrapped in aluminum foil, baked at 400 degrees for 50 minutes. (the skin should peel away easily!)
-Fresh Arugula (or any green)
How to make the crust with just 3 ingredients:
  • 1 cooked sweet potato (orange)
  • rolled oats
  • egg
  • *you can add salt & olive oil if desired*
Put ingredients in a food processor, remove and press onto round baking sheet so that the crust is about 1/4-1/2 inch thick and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
Let cool and beautifully decorate with arugula & beets. Drizzle tahini over the top for the yummiest pizza ever!!

How I stumbled upon the not so healthy aspect of the ingredients we put in and on our bodies began almost six years ago. I altered my personal choices and rigorously educated myself on products and brands as well as enrolled in courses that allowed me to learn more. I cannot speak highly enough about this positive change I made in what I consumed because it trickled into so many aspects of my life. It is a process- ongoing. And that is what I love about it.

While being aware of the safer skincare and food choices I was making, I think I only naturally tuned into the part that truly governs all-  the mind. I began making less toxic lifestyle decisions, forming non-toxic friendships, and engaging in a safer relationship with myself. We are not perfect, but we can always strive to be better. That is the fun part!

I believe that our bodies our our home. Honor it. And take steps to heal it. Listen to it. We are so lucky to have the greatest tool in the toolbox. I want to offer those around me better and safer. Through holistic nutrition and lifestyle, herbal remedies, safer skincare, and many more, we can strengthen the relationship we have with ourselves. If you were given the opportunity to love yourself deeper, wouldn't you take it? At the end of the day, we come home to our home - our body and our mind. This is our only body. This is our only mind. Heal, love and nourish it. ☾
